Just as the summer heat begins to drift away and the mild and beautiful fall happens upon us, The Festival Begins! Beginning on Thursday and Ending Sunday Afternoon, the Shrimp Festival provides one long, fabulous Beach weekend for people from all over the world to enjoy.
At the Shrimp Festival you will find booths set up that have unique arts & crafts for sale, stages that have great bands, and plenty of great Gulf Coast Food & Spirits! The music is back-to-back rocking on two stages. Many local, regional, and nationally known artists represent fine arts. The arts and crafts area is a colorful and fun place to see and buy delightful hand crafted items. Many crafters make things with a coastal theme, which make great condo and beach house accessories. Shrimp are prepared in a zillion delicious ways and plenty of other seafood is always available as well as traditional festival fun food like funnel cakes, ice cream and kettle corn. The sandcastle/ sand-sculpting contest has divisions for both children and adults and The Children’s Village always has many fun activities especially for the kids.
